So what make a good self closing pool gate?
By Florida state regulation, the pool gate must open outward and be self closing and latching. This makes certain that a child running or riding a bike and hitting the gate can’t ‘pop it open’ with a hard hit. The only way to open the gate is to pull it toward you. Of course adults that are allowed to open the gate need to be able to unlatch it. You will find that our gates are easy to open for adults and nearly impossible for kids. Kids can’t reach over the top and unlock the gate. If you want they can be locked with a key as well.
